SUMMER 2012 – ICE HOTEL OPEN ART SUITES AND ICEBAR!
Now we can't laugh at the people who want to stay in the Ice Hotel in the
summer :-)
ICEHOTEL TO RE-EMERGE IN SUMMER
STARTING summer 2011, ICEHOTEL offers its
guests the opportunity to experience a night in -5°C even during the summer.
Spend the night in one of our three Art suites with 2-4 beds, including ice art
in the shape of great design and wonderful sculptures.
During winter the hotel is 5500 square
meters and houses 60 rooms. Summertime ICEHOTEL is instead 120 square meters
and offers three Art suites, an ABSOLUT ICEBAR, and an area where guests can
try their hand at sculpting. Breakfast and access to warm accommodation in a
chalet with shower and WC is included.

January 2009
The trip was absolutely wonderful
and I would definitely spend 2 or 3 nights in the Ice Hotel. I never have
had such a good night's sleep!.

The Ice Hotel was the BEST!!! The dog sled was outstanding
and all of the guides were wonderful. They suited us up and we headed
out. As much as we read and tried to prepare you just can
not be ready for the Ice Hotel. We spent hours going thru the
rooms and admiring the ice sculpture.
We brought ski pants and a winter
coat. Really the arctic snowsuit provided with the boots and gloves was
more than enough. I can truly say that I was never cold.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Cameras
are a big problem. Batteries do not last more than 15 to 20 minutes and
the cameras that I had would shut down when they got too cold. I would
recommend at least two inexpensive Kodak cameras that you can keep next to
your body for warmth and that you can switch out as needed. There is way to much to capture on film to miss
it because of equipment problems. We took about 1200 pictures and
we wish we had taken more.

I have done some travelling in my
lifetime but my son and I were in withdrawal from the Ice Hotel. We read
articles and looked at pictures ion the way home. As soon as we could get
the Internet up we were watching the webcam. The peace the silence the
beauty just can not be described. It
was truly a once in a lifetime experience but I'm already hoping I have nine
lives!
JANUARY 2008:
Hey, we've just returned from a much too brief holiday in Sweden. We
spent 2 nights in Stockholm, flew up to Kiruna, then
traveled by
dogsled to the ICEHOTEL. We stayed 2 nights there-yep, we actually
slept (quite comfortably!) in a hotel made completely of ice! Despite
walking around like giant blueberries in our poofy
coats, we had a
blast! We met some great people, ate some crazy food, and saw more
stars than we knew existed...The weather was gorgeous. Anyway, these
are largely scenery/postcard-type photos, but there are a few choice
action shots of Warren and some reindeer...'Hope you enjoy the little
journey to Sweden and into the Arctic Circle!

FEBRUARY
2008;
The trip was wonderful, everytihing went off without a hitch. The people were
wonderful , the accomodations
great, and the food was fabulous. We ate at Wend Holm
Fisk-superb-pricey, another favorite was Kryp In
in Gamla Stan, great local
fare prepared with the chef and kitchen in full
view ( In case you wanted some recommendations). Thank you for puttng it all together and fielding our questions. I
will recommend Sweden and your service any time. The Best, Deb Halloran
February 2007:
We are back home and wanted to let you know
that we had a GREAT time at the Ice Hotel/Stockholm. Thanks for making
our trip possible and making it so easy. When traveling in a new country
the first time you aren't sure what to do and see and how to do it. Your
schedule made it all possible. Thanks.
