Imagine combining the Inland Railway, a unique journey through Sweden’s
pristine wilderness, and Hurtigruten, the world’s most beautiful voyage. Two
tourism jewels in the same package! The journey begins on the Inland Railway and
goes from Dalarna in the south to Lapland in the north. Meet rich Swedish culture,
impressive wilderness, peace and tranquillity. Experience the Swedish landscape in
all its variety; the journey takes you through dense pine forests and on to expansive
views with mountainous backdrops. From Gällivare the route continues onwards to
Narvik in Norway, a very scenic train ride through national parks, with Kebnekaise
– Sweden’s highest mountain – in the background, and through Norway’s
precipitous fjords. From Narvik the journey continues with bus to Harstad where
you meet the gateway to the breathtaking and very beautiful Lofoten, mountains
surrounded by the dark waters of the fjords. In Harstad there is an early morning
start with Hurtigruten cruise liner, past narrow straits and fjords, along Norway’s
majestic and fascinating coastline down to Trondheim.

Day 1	Stockholm
Wednesday	Individual arrival in Stockholm	your own
	Overnight stay, including breakfast in Nordic Sea Hotel or FIRST HOTEL AMARANTEN in Stockholm City, 75 m from Stockholm Central station.	*

Day 2	Stockholm - Mora
Thursday	Morning departure with train from Stockholm Central to Mora.	*
	Overnight stay, including breakfast in First Hotel Mora, transfer from Central station	*
	Walk from the hotel to the Zorn Museum, guided tour.	*
	The rest of the afternoon is free from individual activities.

Day 3	Mora - Östersund
Friday	Morning/afternoon departure with the Inland Railway from Mora, through Finnmark dense, green forests to Östersund, which is the county town of Jämtland.	*

	Overnight stay in Hotel , incl. breakfast	*

Day 4	Östersund - Arvidsjaur
Saturday	Morning departure with the Inland Railway to Arvidsjaur, transfer to the hotel.	*
	Along the railway you will have good chances to see reindeers!
	In the afternoon you will go by a special steam train tour in July and the rest of the season when the steam train does not run there will be a guided tour around Arvidsjaur, with a visit to the Lap village.
	Overnight stay in Hotel Laponia, incl. breakfast.	*

Day 5	Arvidsjaur - Gällivare
Sunday	Afternoon departure with the Inland Railway to Gällivare, luggage transport to the train. Take the opportunity to explore Arvidsjaur and go directly to the train.	*
	There is rich variety of landscape along this stretch: expanses of marshland, a voyage through the World Heritage area of Laponia, mountainous backdrops but also dense green forests

	We stop at the article circle where you get certified for crossing the Arctic circle.	*

Day 6	Gällivare – Narvik (NORWAY)- Harstad
Monday
	Morning departure from Gällivare to Narvik with regular train .	*
	A very beautiful journey with mountains in the background and fjords on one side of the train. There will be some time in Narvik for individual sightseeing before the bus leaves for HARSTAD. Arrival in the evening	*

	Overnight stay in Hotel Rica incl. breakfast.	*

Day 7	HURTIGRUTTEN cruise: Harstad-Stamsund
Tuesday	Check in and early departure in Harstad at HURTIGRUTTEN, coastal express. You will experience: Vesterålen's and Lofoten's varying landscapes captivate everyone: narrow sounds, steep mountains, sandy beaches and fishing villages. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the voyage, put on a warm jacket and go out and breathe in the fresh air and the salt smell of the sea while enjoying the view – unforgettable…	*
	RISÖYHAVN: CONCERT IN SILOTANK	OPTIONAL

Day 8	Hurtigruten: Bodö-Rörvik.
Wednesday	Narrow straits and fertile agricultural land. This stretch passes the Polar Circle and the mythical Helgeland´s coast with the “De Syv Söstre” and Torghatten mountain ranges.	*

Day 9	Trondheim – Östersund.
Thursday	Morning arrival with Hurtigruten in Trondheim	*
	Take the chance to experience Trondheim for a day; there are train departures to Östersund both morning and afternoon.	*

	Overnight stay in Hotel, incl. breakfast, in Östersund.	*

Day 10	Östersund - Mora
Friday
	Individual time to explore Östersund before taking the Inland Railway to Mora, arrival in the evening..	*
	Overnight stay in Hotel in Mora, incl. breakfast	*

Day 11	Mora - Stockholm
Saturday
	Departure from Mora to Stockholm with regular train (SJ) in the morning alt in the afternoon. The package ends here, homeward journey according to individual bookings. If you wish extra nights in Stockholm we will gladly help you with the arrangement.	*
